LOS BAÑOS, Laguna-- Members of a fraternity at the University of the Philippines here have ran naked to campaign against the proposed Charter Change (Chacha) and the already implemented tuition increase in the UP system, but were allegedly stopped by members of the University Police Force and Community Security Brigade Tuesday.

Around ten members of UP-based fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega (APO), staged their annual tradition, Oblation run, to "heighten the awareness of students and UPLB community on campus and social issues," according to an APO member who refused to be identified.

Prior to the event, the UPLB administration through the Office of the Students Affairs have questioned the conduct of Oblation Run since APO is not a recognized fraternity in the university.

Charisse Bernadine Bañez, student council Chairperson, on the other hand, said "(the) UPLB administration is bent on repressing students by hindering activities that would heighten their awareness on social issues. APO just wanted to air their sentiments on campus and national issues."
